Your privacy is important to us.  To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.  To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.

The Information We Collect:

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the HappyBirthday.com website. 

You can register with our website if you would like to receive our Birthday Reminders.  Information you submit on our website will not be used for this purpose unless you fill out the registration form.  HappyBirthday.com, collects personally identifiable information and email addresses from our users at several points on our website.  On some pages, you can order products, make requests and register to receive materials.  The types of personal information collected at these pages are your name, address and e-mail address. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order OR provide reminder service. Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated use.

If you choose to use our birthday requestor feature to ask your family and friends when their birthday is, we will ask you for your family and/or friend’s name and email address.  We will automatically send your family and/or friend a one-time email asking him or her to submit their birthday.  HappyBirthday.com, LLC stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email.  Your family member and/or friend may contact us at webmaster@happybirthday.com to request that we remove this information from our database. 
 
We also collect and use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with advertisers.  For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.

Finally, use session ID cookies which make it easier for you to navigate our site at the point of collection of your email address.  I session ID cookie expires when you close your browser. 

HappyBirthday.com, LLC, a Maryland limited liability company, is the sole owner of the information collected HappyBirthday.com. 

How We Use Your Information

We will send you strictly service-related emails when you sign up for the service.  For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email.  If you do not with to receive such notices, you have the option to deactivate your account.  

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive.  Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

If we decide to change our email practices, we will post those changes to this privacy statement, the homepage, and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
